Mike Trout underwent successful surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn ligament in his thumb. He's expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks due to the injury. (Angels on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Trout was clearly the best player in baseball when he went down, and his status atop the fantasy baseball world shouldn't change in upcoming seasons. However, the injury could have him look a bit different when he returns considering its to his hand and will likely impact his batting in the short term. Owners will have to wait it out and hope he returns to form when he's activated.
