Yonder Alonso

Yonder Alonso continues to power through breakout campaign

by Waleed Hawatky | Mon, Jun 5th 12:36pm EDT

Yonder Alonso went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

Alonso homered in Friday's contest as well and has now gone yard 16 times in just 47 games. A trendy vote for the All-Star game, Alonso is having a career year in just about every sense and, paired with Khris Davis, has been a formidable bat in the middle of the A's lineup. Everybody's waiting for the rug to be pulled but it is becoming increasingly difficult to scoff at his .297/.395/.676 tripleslash. After a hot May, Alonso is starting June where he left off so if you need help at 1B and he's available (still only owned around 60%), get him.
