Adam Wainwright lasted just 3 2/3 innings in a losing effort against the Reds on Tuesday, giving up nine runs on seven hits and three walks. This disastrous start ballooned his ERA to 4.86, while his WHIP sits at 1.56.
Fantasy Impact:
Wainwright had been rolling, with four straight consecutive quality starts in which he gave up just one run over 26 1/3 innings, but Tuesday's implosion undid any momentum he had going for him. He has a favorable matchup next time out against the Phillies, but she should be started with caution after Tuesday's performance.
