Chris Davis homers in win

by Waleed Hawatky | Wed, Jun 7th 1:06pm EDT

Chris Davis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Pirates.

Fantasy Impact:

Riding a modest seven game hitting streak, Davis hit a timely shot in the seventh inning as the first of back-to-back homers that reduced their deficit to 4-3. The O's would eventually win the game when Jonathan Schoop, the second of the back-to-back, would hit another shot with Davis on base to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth. Davis has had a perfectly Chris-Davis-like year slashing .237/.329/.480 with 13 home runs now to go with 25 RBIs and, of course, 88 strikeouts. The power stroke appears to be warming up with the weather, however, as he's hit three home runs in the past week.
