Carlos Santana hitless in rubber vs. White Sox

by Gavin Tramps | Twins Correspondent | Mon, Jun 12th 8:17am EDT

1B/DH Carlos Santana went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Sunday in the Indians' 4-2 win over the White Sox.

Fantasy Impact:

Santana is hitting just .156 (5-for-32) in June, with two of the hits going for home runs. The switch-hitter has never helped fantasy owners with batting average but he is usually a reliable producer in points or OBP leagues. Unfortunately, this season his .315 OBP is the lowest of his career. The 12% walk rate looks fine and puts him in the top-40 of qualified hitters, but it is significantly lower than the 15.5% that was his career average before the season started.
