Matt Shoemaker exited Wednesday's game early with an injury to his forearm. He threw 58 pitches before departing. (Maria Guardado on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Forearm tightness can be a precursor to something much more significant, though nothing has been determined yet. Owners will have to hope for the best as they await further reports. Shoemaker was inconsistent in 2017 following his solid 2016, posting an ERA and WHIP of 4.52 and 1.30 over 14 starts.
