Erik Gonzalez hits first career home run on Thursday

by Gavin Tramps | Reds Correspondent | Fri, Jun 16th 3:28am EDT

SS Erik Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Indians' 12-5 win over the Dodgers on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

With Jason Kipnis out of the lineup again with neck stiffness/spasms, Gonzalez got the start at second base. The former Top-10 prospect is hitting .286 over his 42 big league at-bats. Last season in Triple-A, Gonzalez slashed .296/.329/.450 with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases. He has potential for value in dynasty leagues but he will struggle for regular playing time while the Indians have Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor and Jason Kipnis in their infield.
