Chris Sale (8-3) allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out 10 batters during Thursday's loss to Philadelphia.

Sale pitched another great game but took the loss as he was outdueled but Phillies' rookie starter Nick Pivetta who pitched a shutout. The 28-year-old lefty now has a 2.82 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 12.4 K/9 on the year. Sale has a great matchup in his next start when he faces the Royals.
