Victor Martinez placed on 10-day DL with irregular heartbeat

The Tigers placed Victor Martinez on the 10-day disabled list on Friday with an irregular heartbeat. The team recalled John Hicks from Triple-A to take Martinez's place on the roster. (Jason Beck on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Martinez had exited Thursday's game with nausea, and then was hospitalized overnight for observation. Brad Ausmus suggested that Martinez could be hospitalized for another night for tests and observation. Obviously, hope for the best for Martinez, and it's unclear whether his ailment could require more than the minimum stay on the disabled list. Martinez has had a down year with just five home runs and a .714 OPS.
