Freddie Freeman confirms potential third base switch

by Clinton H. | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Jun 21st 4:32pm EDT

Freddie Freeman told reporters Wednesday that his "mindset is to return as a third baseman." This comes on the heels of manager Brian Snitker acknowledging the potential move to keep Matt Adams in the lineup regularly.

Fantasy Impact:

It's been a week of good news for Freeman owners as he began playing catch recently and will now likely pick up third base eligibility shortly after his return. There's also reason to have confidence that his injury won't affect his hitting quite like other wrist injuries based on the specific bone that was fractured. Shortly after the injury, he was told by orthopedic hand surgeon Dr. Gary Lourie that of the eight bones in the wrist, he had broken the "best possible one."
