Junior Guerra turns in third straight quality start

by Elliott Baas | Thu, Jun 22nd 12:38am EDT

Junior Guerra pitched six innings Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing three earned runs on seven hits. He issued five walks and struck out six while taking a no decision.

Fantasy Impact:

Like his previous two starts, this was a bare minimum quality start. He allowed twelve baserunners but was not heavily punished for it. He has an impressive 3.11 ERA on the year, but a 6.06 FIP and 5.79 xFIP could signal regression for Guerra. He also has a .212 BABIP against and an 88% strand rate on the year. It seems that no one has been luckier than Junior Guerra in 2017. His next start comes Monday against the Reds. Stream at your own risk.
