Masahiro Tanaka allowed three hits in eight scoreless innings against the Rangers on Friday. Tanaka walked two and struck out nine, earning a no-decision. He has a 5.74 ERA this season and will face the White Sox in Chicago on June 28.
Fantasy Impact:
This is now three straight games where Tanaka has struck out at least eight batters, but he has not won since May 8. While he has allowed five runs or more in three of his last five starts, he has allowed one run or fewer three of his last six starts. Current White Sox have a .729 OPS in 60 career at-bats against Tanaka and he is 2-4 with a 6.70 ERA on the road this season.
