Santiago Casilla secures save despite giving up homer

by Waleed Hawatky | Mon, Jun 26th 1:08pm EDT

Santiago Casilla surrendered a pair of hits including a solo home run but held on to secure the save as the A's beat the White Sox 5-3 on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Casilla continues to live dangerously as the closer for the A's, having now given up a pair of hits in three straight appearances (and four of his last five) while failing to strike out a batter in three straight. With Sean Doolittle pitching very well since his return from the disabled list, Casilla needs to be better. Still, he's now converted 13 of his first 16 save chances on the season while compiling a 4.28 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 26/12 K/BB ratio across 27 1/3 innings.
