Justin Verlander wins on Tuesday

Justin Verlander (5-4) came away with the win on Tuesday against the Royals, tossing seven innings and allowing three runs on nine hits, a walk, and six strikeouts. he threw 81 of his 111 pitches for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
All three runs were allowed in the first inning, but Verlander was able to settle down and throw six shutout innings to finish his night. Verlander may have allowed nine hits, but only one of them (a double by Whit Merrifield) went for extra bases. All in all, there are a lot of positives to take away from this start. Verlander's next start will come on Sunday at home against Cleveland.
