Salvador Perez posts two RBIs in Royals' loss

Salvador Perez delivered a two-run single in the first inning off Tigers starter Justin Verlander but was retired in each of his next three at-bats to finish the game 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Perez struck out twice as the Royals went on to lose to the Tigers on Tuesday 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Perez continues to hit Verlander well over his career but was held in check after his RBI hit in the opening frame. Perez has collected seven hits over his last five games to bring his season average up to .289. The 27-year-old catcher has played in 69 of the Royals 76 games this season which leads all catchers in games played this season. While his 15 home runs puts him on pace to break his career-high mark of 22 set last year.
