Joc Pederson sits against another lefty

Joc Pederson got the night off on Tuesday with the Dodgers facing left-handed starter Patrick Corbin and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Fantasy Impact:

By luck of the draw, three of the last four Dodger games have been against southpaws, and Pederson has begun each of them on the bench. Pederson has actually been red-hot since being activated from the disabled list on June 13, batting .305/.446/.695 with six home runs in 74 plate appearances and nearly as many walks (12) as strikeouts (14). It hasn't helped him earn a true every-day role, however, as the Dodgers' enviable depth gives them the luxury of stacking quality right-handed bats against lefties, with Pederson usually giving way to Enrique Hernandez, Chris Taylor, or Trayce Thompson. Still, Pederson has a lot of pop in his bat and remains a solid power option for fantasy owners, particularly those with the depth to cover for his days off.
