Felix Hernandez dominates in final start of first half

by Dan Harris | Mon, Jul 10th 1:09pm EDT

Felix Hernandez pitched six shutout innings against the A's on Sunday giving up just two hits and three walks while striking out eight. Hernandez lowered his ERA to 4.44 and won his fourth game.

Fantasy Impact:

Hernandez has a long way to go before getting back to fantasy relevance, and he historically dominates the A's, so take this start with a grain of salt. But it's worth noting that he had his highest differential in velocity between his fastball and changeup (seven miles per hour), which is essential for Hernandez to succeed. He'll look to keep it going against the White Sox after the break.
