Eric Sogard (ankle) receives cortisone shot

Eric Sogard, who has been on the DL since July 5 with an ankle injury, received a cortisone shot on Friday. (Tom Haudricourt on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
As a result, Sogard will not be activated over the weekend as his rehab will push into next week. Jonathan Villar has performed well batting leadoff in Sogard's absence but both players could end up splitting time at 2B when Sogard returns, hurting both player's fantasy value.
