Jordan Montgomery makes it through four innings

by Chris Zolli | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Mon, Jul 17th 6:31am EDT

Jordan Montgomery allowed three runs on six hits in four innings against the Red Sox on Friday. Montgomery walked three and struck out three, marking his third straight start where he pitched six innings or fewer. He has a 3.78 ERA this season and will face the Twins in Minnesota on July.19

Fantasy Impact:

Montgomery only has one quality start in his last six and has struck out fewer than five batters for three consecutive starts. His ERA and 1.27 WHIP are each solid and his 90 strikeouts in 95 1/3 innings this season show his strikeout potential. He has never faced the Twins and is 3-3 with a 3.78 ERA on the road this season.
