Ian Kinsler back in lineup following illness

by Brad Richter | Tigers Correspondent | Mon, Jul 17th 11:58am EDT

After missing Friday's game due to illness, Kinsler played on both Saturday and Sunday. He went 1-for-5 on Sunday with a run and a walk during the Tigers' 6-5 extra-inning victory over the Blue Jays.

Fantasy Impact:

Kinsler has struggled in July batting just .171 with no extra base hits through 10 games played. The 35-year-old second basemen is well behind pace to duplicate last season's 28 home runs and 117 runs scored and has posted a career-low .237 average so far this season. Kinsler should have some positive regression over the remainder of the year with a .249 BABIP so far this season despite a 37.4% hard contact rate.
