Greg Bird out until September

Greg Bird is scheduled to have right ankle surgery Tuesday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC on Tuesday. Doctors will address an excess bone growth which is believed to be the cause of the inflammation that has held him out since May. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
This will be the second consecutive year that Bird will miss significant time due to injury. He could be back as early as September following what is predicted to be a six week rehabilitation. If you can stash him on your DL without limiting yourself, you may as well.
