Jason Vargas punished by Tigers

Jason Vargas was lit up in Monday's game against Detroit, as he surrendered six runs on seven hits and four walks in 2 2/3 innings. He did manage to get four strike outs. His record drops to 12-4 on the year.
Fantasy Impact:
That is back-to-back awful starts for Vargas, as he gave up six runs against the Mariners in his last start. It looks like Vargas' poor peripheral stats (xFIP higher than ERA, low K/9 rate) are finally catching up to him. Owners have probably missed their chance to sell high on him.
