Martin Perez pitched six innings against the Orioles Wednesday night, allowing seven hits, five runs (four earned), and one walk while recording three strikeouts in a 10-2 losing effort. He will pitch again Monday against Dan Straily and the Marlins in Arlington.
Fantasy Impact:
The game got out of hand in the 7th when Perez was pulled after facing two batters, up to that point he had allowed three runs, so he did keep the Rangers in the game through six. Still, he struggles to maintain fantasy value with sub-standard peripheral stats and should be avoided in most formats.
