Jason Vargas allowed two runs over five innings against the White Sox on Saturday. He gave up seven hits and walked one while striking out two. He did not factor into the decision.
Fantasy Impact:
Vargas rebounded well after two disastrous outings, but it's clear that regression has started to hit. Vargas simply doesn't strike out enough batters and allows too many baserunners to be the dominant force he was earlier in the season. He'll take on the Red Sox in his next start.
