Jeff Samardzija picked up his fifth win of 2017 on Wednesday, firing seven innings of one-run ball while allowing just four hits and two walks.
Fantasy Impact:
Samardzija struck out eight in the impressive outing, which lowered his ERA to 4.85 as we approach the end of July. The right-hander has been a good source of strikeouts so far this year, but his ERA is higher than spring expectations and he hasn't gotten many wins.
