Jordan Zimmermann blanks Yankees for seventh win

Jordan Zimmermann (7-8) tossed seven shutout innings against the Yankees on Wednesday in a 2-0 victory. He scattered six hits without walking a batter and registering six strikeouts for his seventh win of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Wednesday's outing was the first start this season where Zimmermann has not allowed a run and it came against one of the best offenses in baseball. Zimmermann has a 3.33 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP in four starts since the All-Star break. He's not going to strikeout a lot of hitters and is best left for deep mixed leagues as a streaming option. Zimmermann's next scheduled start is next Monday in Pittsburgh.
