Jean Segura went 2-4 Friday night, with a single, a triple, and two runs scored in the Mariners 5-2 win over Kansas City.
Fantasy Impact:
Segura, who has been struggling as of late, had seen his batting average plummet from .355 to .315 since July 9th. In 20 games prior to tonight's contest, the 27-year-old shortstop was slashing a paltry .195/.272/.244 while hitting only four extra-base hits ( four doubles) and driving in only three RBIs. Perhaps tonight's effort will jumpstart him through the rest of the campaign. On the year, Segura has a respectable .318/.365/.436 slash line and 15 stolen bases.
