Chad Pinder with a solo home run in comeback win over Angels

by Waleed Hawatky | Mon, Aug 7th 12:47pm EDT

Chad Pinder finished 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

Pinder cranked a 405 ft solo bomb in the seventh inning off reliever Yusmeiro Petit that would eventually serve as a shot to the arm for the A's who, in the next inning, would drop five more runs on the Angels including an RBI single by Pinder. He also doubled earlier in the contest, coming around to score the A's first run on a Matt Chapman double in the fourth inning. He's now got 10 home runs and 28 RBI to go with a solid .264/.315/.521 in only 53 games played due to a season-shortening hamstring injury. Pinder has sneaky power and is off to a very hot start in August, hitting .500 with hits in four straight including three multi-hit games.
