Joey Votto went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in a big win against the Padres.

Votto has now reached the 30 home run plateau for the second time in his career. The veteran is usually drafted for his elite OBP but is on his way to having a career year and breaking his personal best of 37 home runs. Votto has put a slow July in the rearview mirror and has been on fire to start the new month, look for him to finish the year strong and generate some MVP talk.
