Justin Verlander dominates Pirates on Wednesday

Justin Verlander (8-7) allowed just one hit in eight innings during the Tigers 10-0 rout over the Pirates on Wednesday. He had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning before a two-out double by Josh Bell. Verlander registered six strikeouts with three walks in the 113-pitch effort.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander has allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last seven starts. He has a 1.91 ERA with a 9.57 K/9 rate during those starts. Verlander has dropped his ERA on the season under four (3.97) for the first time since his second start of the year. His next scheduled start will come on Monday at Texas with a second start next week at home against the Dodgers.
