Jameson Taillon gets start cut short after rain delay

by Matthew Nystrom | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Aug 18th 6:55am EDT

Jameson Taillon went five innings against the Cardinals on Thursday, yielding four runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out seven.

Fantasy Impact:

Taillon was dealing until the fifth inning when the heavens opened up at PNC Park. He walked two batters basically due to the rain and then let up a few hits, but all-in-all he had a decent outing despite the conditions. He's been able to miss a ton of bats lately as he has 22 strikeouts over his last 17 1/3 frames. He'll carry a 4.64 ERA into a start against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
