Jordan Montgomery allowed three runs on four hits in five innings against the Red Sox on Friday. Montgomery walked two and struck out three and was sent to Triple-A Scranton on Saturday. He has a 4.00 ERA and 1.22 WHIP this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Montgomery will likely be in Scranton until the rosters expand in September and then will be used as a long reliever. He has allowed three runs or less in eight of his last 10 starts, but has only registered two quality starts in that time span. While he has been decent this season, he has no fantasy value as a long reliever.
