Jarrod Dyson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday because of a strained right groin muscle. (Bob Dutton of The News Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
Dyson has been battling the groin injury for several days, but his slow recovery compelled the Mariners to place him on the disabled list. The move is retroactive to August 17. The 33-year-old outfielder has a .255 batting average for the year with five home runs, 30 RBIs, and 56 runs scored. Dyson and Houston's Jose Altuve lead the American League with 28 stolen bases. In a corresponding move, Seattle recalled right-hander Casey Lawrence from Triple-A Tacoma.
