Leonys Martin traded to the Cubs

Leonys Martin was traded to the Cubs on Thursday for a player to be named later or cash. (Greg Johns of MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Martin was the Mariners' opening-day center fielder but spent much of the year at Triple-A Tacoma because of poor performance. The 29-year-old veteran slashed an anemic .174/.221/.287 in 34 games this year with the Mariners. The Cubs did not add Martin to their 40-man roster, but because he was acquired prior to Sept. 1, he will be eligible to play for them in the playoffs.
