Cole Hamels

Cole Hamels a little inefficient Friday night

by Steve Painter | Sat, Sep 2nd 1:51am EDT

Cole Hamels lasted five innings in his start against the Angels Friday night, and he was uncharacteristically inefficient. He allowed five hits, four runs (all earned), and three walks while recording five strikeouts and burned through 101 pitches in the outing. The Rangers offense was alive and well and they won by a final score of 10-9 and Hamels was afforded a no-decision. He will pitch again Wednesday against Mike Foltynewicz and the Braves in Atlanta.

Fantasy Impact:

Just a tough outing for Hamels, who has been solid this season for the Rangers. He has earned his fantasy bonafide's thus far and should have a good stretch run for owners.
