Andrew Cashner pitches well, gets no-decision Saturday

by Steve Painter | Sun, Sep 10th 2:35am EDT

Andrew Cashner was solid over seven innings Saturday but ended up with a no-decision in the 3-1 Yankees victory over the Rangers in Arlington. He allowed four hits, one run (earned), and one walk while recording four strikeouts. The Rangers offense was simply shut down by Luis Severino and company and thus, a great effort by Cashner fell flat although he did earn a quality start. He will pitch again Thursday against Andrew Albers and the Mariners in Arlington.

Fantasy Impact:

Cashner has been excellent over his last 11 starts, posting a 2.49 ERA over those 72 1/3 innings. He'll be a free agent at year's end and be a solid addition to any rotation but it's likely the Rangers will move to sign him quickly.
