Sean Newcomb gets win Friday night

Sean Newcomb exited quickly in the sixth after the Mets loaded the bases on him, but otherwise, he had a solid outing in the Braves' 3-2 win in Atlanta. Over 5 1/3, he allowed six hits, two runs (both earned), and one walk while recording eight strikeouts. With the win, his record on the season improves to 3-8. Newcomb will pitch again Thursday against Tanner Roark and the Nationals in Atlanta.
