Julio Teheran solid over six, gets loss Sunday

by Steve Painter | Cubs Correspondent | Sun, Sep 17th 6:09pm EDT

Julio Teheran pitched good enough to win but the Braves' bats were quieted by Robert Gsellman and company as the Mets defeated the Braves 5-1 in Atlanta Sunday. Over six innings, Teheran allowed three hits, two runs (both earned), and four walks while recording seven strikeouts. With the loss, his record on the season sits at 11-12 with a 4.52 ERA. Teheran will pitch again Saturday against Henderson Alvarez and the Phillies in Atlanta.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a good, much-needed start for Teheran, despite the loss. He has struggled at home most of the season but has recently made adjustments and is showing tremendous improvement.
