Rafael Devers hits solo homer vs Reds on Sunday

by Robert Kaszanek | Red Sox Correspondent | Mon, Sep 25th 9:13am EDT

Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 on Sunday in a come from behind win over the Cincinnati Reds. He hit a solo home run, a single, scored a run, and drove in two RBIs. Devers was defensively replaced by Deven Marrero in the bottom of the eighth.

Fantasy Impact:

Devers has been the clutch hitter the Red Sox have needed to replace David Ortiz as the rookie has now had two go ahead hits in his last three games. On Sunday, Devers got the scoring started with a solo home run to right field, his tenth home run of the year. Then with the score tied in the bottom of the eighth he singled to score Mookie Betts to put the Red Sox up for good. The rookie has been very impressive this year and should continue to be to close out the season.
