New York Mets express interest in Carlos Santana

by Reggie Beltran | Twins Correspondent | Thu, Nov 16th 8:05am EST

According to the New York Post, the Mets consider the 31-year-old slugger as a "difference-maker." Santana's ability to hit on both sides of the plate would prove valuable, and bolster a lineup that already includes Michael Conforto and Yoenis Cespedes. (NY Post)

Fantasy Impact:

The Mets have strong competition for Carlos Santana, who posted 23 homers with 79 RBIs for the Cleveland Indians. He'll likely hit in the cleanup spot, sandwiched by Cespedes and Conforto. If the Mets do sign him, Santana could have a big year playing in New York.
