Doug Fister signs with Rangers

Fantasy Impact:
Fister had an unimpressive season with the Red Sox, posting a 4.88 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 90 1/3 innings. But he did have 83 strikeouts, which was significantly over his career strikeout rate. Staying in the American League and in a hitter-friendly ballpark, Fister will be just an option in deep AL-only leagues, regardless of if his improvement in strikeouts is sustainable.
