The Chicago White Sox have been in contact with the Boston Red Sox "and others" surrounding first baseman Jose Abreu, according to insider Jon Heyman. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Red Sox have been linked to nearly every big bat this off-season. Acquiring Abreu makes sense for them, but they don't exactly have a plethora of prospects to move at the moment. Abreu is under contract for two more years. He hit 33 homers with a .304 batting average in 2017.
