The Seattle Mariners have acquired Dee Gordon from the Miami Marlins in exchange for minor leaguers Robert Dugger, Nick Neidert, and Christopher Torres. The Mariners also received $1 million in international slot money. (Seattle Mariners on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Rumor has it that the Mariners will ask Gordon to play center field, which would make the speedy second baseman even more of a fantasy asset. Neidert, a right-handed pitcher, was the Mariners' second-ranked prospect, and should be with the big club sometime in 2019. As for the additional international slot money, the Mariners appear to be doing all they can to increase their chances of getting Shohei Ohtani.
