Fantasy Impact:
The 22-year-old outfielder had just gotten back from a lat issue. He is still expected to return to game action relatively quickly, but this likely means he has no chance of cracking the Opening Day roster. Hays was probably ticketed for the minors either way, however. He's a name to keep an eye on.
