Victor Robles not being considered for bench role

“We would never keep him on the bench”, was Rizzo’s response when asked about Robles’ role with the team according to Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post. This is interesting wording from the Nationals GM as it may indicate the team in considering the young outfielder for a starting role. Robles is more than likely going to start the season in Triple-A until there is an everyday need in the Washington outfield. The situation bears watching in the event that Robles forces his way onto the roster.
