Matt Carpenter started at 3rd base and collected a hit and scored a run in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Fantasy Impact:
This is a great signed for Carpenter's owners as this shows that the Cardinals aren't worried about his back injury at all going into the final stretch of spring training. Carpenter also played a little bit of 2nd base Sunday as well. Carpenter has been working on a different throwing angle so as to not reinjure his elbow that hampered him last season.
