Homer Bailey solid in season opener
by Collin Moran | Fri, Mar 30th 11:39pm EDT
Homer Bailey pitched six innings on Friday against the Nationals allowing only one run on four hits and three walks. He also struck out three.
Fantasy Impact:
Homer Bailey looked good in the first game of the season but came out a loser with lack of run support. The 11-year veteran took a tough loss against Max Scherzer and the Nationals, after the Reds offense was not able to bring any runs across home plate the entire game. Bailey has had a tough time staying healthy over the last three seasons, so it will be interesting to see if he can get back to 30 starts in his age-31 campaign. As of now, Bailey is only worth rostering in deep NL-only leagues.
