Brandon McCarthy pitched 5 1/3 innings against the Phillies Saturday night, allowing six hits, two runs (both earned), and three walks while recording five strikeouts. He received good run support as the Braves won 15-2. The win gives a McCarthy his first victory in a Braves uniform. He will face German Marquez and the Rockies Friday in Denver.
Fantasy Impact:
McCarthy's night was a little inefficient but he was able to contain the Phillies on an off night. His style induces a lot of soft-contact and he is capable of producing some whiffs as well. He's a streamer consideration at this point.
