Dinelson Lamet and Padres not discussing results of recent MRI

Dinelson Lamet underwent an MRI on his elbow Monday, but the Padres aren't releasing the results of the examination, according to Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. (Jeff Sanders on Twitter)

Lamet is already on the disabled list and has been ruled out through the month of April, so maybe this is not major news. Still, it is somewhat odd to undergo an MRI and then not release or discuss the results afterward. Monday's MRI could be precautionary, or it could be a sign that Lamet is not progressing and is concerned. He has not yet resumed a throwing program, so consider this to be an extended absence with no clear end in sight until more information is available.
