Jon Lester

Jon Lester with a great outing Thursday versus Milwaukee

by Jamie Mellor | Fri, Apr 6th 3:54am EDT

Jon Lester went six innings without giving a run with only four baserunners. He even threw out a baserunner in the first inning. It is my belief that the fun of the moment and sudden grins on everyone's face helped give the Cubs a boost that lead to the victory. He would strike out six and move to 1-0 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Lester holds the possibility of being amazing. He has had recent seasons with ERAs in the 2's. He went 19-5 in 2016. He has struck out at least 180 in each of the last four seasons. However, he also had a 4.33 ERA last season with the worst strikeout total of those four seasons with 180. He is trustworthy to be a solid starter in most leagues at the very least as long as he stays healthy.
